We got back to camp about 3 hours after we left which was pretty good time. Nice thing is that it just being the two of us, we didn't feel rushed, saw what we wanted to, and still got back in good time. But now it was time to get on the road, so we got changed, packed up the tents, got it all in the van and the trailer loaded with the bikes. By 1:30pm we were pulling out of camp. We stopped in the abandoned mining town of Rhyolite on our way through to Beatty, Nevada. It's the same story here as elsewhere in the valley. The boom town springing up to work the mines, the crash of the economy not meeting expectations, and eventual abandonment. One interesting side note to this town is that Charles Schwab was a major investor in the town. Just goes to show you that not every investment pays off.
We retraced our steps from the trip down heading through Fallon and eventually caught up with the guys in Winnemucca, Nevada where they had made a reservation for us. Dave and I ate at "The Pig" again and then headed off to our room for the night.

The home stretch. Not much to say other than Dave and I headed out our own way so we could get home at a decent hour. If we had followed the others, we'd have to go through Colfax and that would add time to our trip needlessly. We stopped for dinner at Baker City, Oregon at a really great Mexican restaurant named Delicioso where I had the best enchiladas I've ever had! We continued on, traveling through the Tri-Cities finally arriving at my house around 7:15pm.
