Yeah, we got caught in this deluge of a rainstorm. One that around here we get now and then. A ton of water dumps down and then 20 minutes later it's bright sunshine. Which is what happened. We found this little closed up gas station where we squeezed the bikes in and everybody closed up the vents on their jackets after getting wet, and changed into a little drier clothes. We knew we'd have rain, but we didn't think we'd hit it until further on.

For this day, rain was the theme. It let up as we crossed the border at Nelway, but started up soon after and rained all the way into Nelson. Our original stop this night was to be Nakusp. There's a nice campground at the hot springs outside of town. But the longer we thought about it, the Grand Hotel in Nelson was looking pretty good. So we got rooms and stayed there the night which allowed everyone to dry out a bit and not have to set up tents in the rain. That would be reserved for later. I didn't get any pictures of the hotel - we were too busy eating and enjoying the fact that we weren't riding in the rain.
