So we started packing up for the next leg of the trip, but Mike (who had a heart attack 4 years ago) wasn't feeling too good and his heart rate was up. He wanted to go to the fire station and have the paramedics check him out. This is way cheaper than going to the hostpital. We put the ride on hold while he got checked out first by paramedics at the Jackson fire station, then later at a minor emergency clinic. One of the things we all realized that between the heat and wind from yesterday, we had all gotten somewhat dehydrated and were wondering if that was part of Mike's problem. By the time he was done with the checks, he was feeling better so while we waited for the doctors (here and in Olympia) to get back in touch with him, we decided to have lunch and then play tourist at the town square. We ate at Bubba's BBQ and it was really great. I heartly recommend it.

After lunch we walked around the town square and did a little souvenir shopping, both for ourselves and our loved ones back home. While shopping I stopped at the Jackson Trading Company to ask about camping outside of Jackson along the Tetons. I found a nice map and the guy showed me some great places to look into. I bought the map which was helpful and would be useful the next time I head that way (which I will).

After a bit we hit the road again heading north toward the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone. At one point we rounded a corner where the trees were around us and the Tetons were exposed to us in all their glory! I love scenes like that! You're just riding along, enjoying the road and an expansive vista opens up before you and takes your breath away. We took the salesman's advice and turned into the park road at Moose Junction and entered the park. This being another National Park we put our America the Beautiful Park pass to use. We knew we didn't want to stay in Yellowstone because A) it's more expensive and B) it's crowded, so we were looking at campsite in the Tetons park. We passed a few on the park road, but they were all full.
