Well, this will be a short entry. I dropped the motor off at Allen's Cycles to get rebuilt. I know, I was thinking I'd do the rebuild myself, but after much thought and advice from other, more knowledgeable people than I, I decided to let an expert get it rebuilt. That way the most important part will be done right and I can concentrate on everything else.

It'll probably be a few weeks before I get it back.

Meanwhile, I found a decent rear fender for it on Ebay. I'll need to build a support for it underneath, but that shouldn't be too hard. I've also decided to experiment with painting the front fender with plastic paint to see how it looks and works. If it works (and matches) it'll solve a problem I've been having trying to find fenders that aren't ridiculously high priced.

Another short note to mention that I got the bright idea (from my brother) to get some plastic paint and try and repaint the front fender that I have. It's orange. I also had a little headlight fairing the same color that I'm not reusing and it was the same color. So I ran a test on it. It turned our great! So I've painted the front fender with a couple of coats. That'll be one less thing to have to buy. People want an arm and a leg for that stuff.

So when the rear fender comes in I can get that painted and at least I'll have some parts to put on it. I've also decided not to try and buy new side panels. I've cleaned them and will paint the black part to match the pictures I've seen of the stock bike. One of the panels is a bit busted, but still functional. Just cleaning them up and painting them will make them look just fine.
