Well, I'm now a Festivarian! I've purchased my tickets and camping spot this morning and am committed to going to the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, June 19-22, 2014 in Telluride, Colorado. This is an annual event held at nearly 9,000 feet in the Colorado Rockies.

Telluride Bluegrass Festival

I've always loved bluegrass music, but had not been listening for quite awhile until my good friend Bill Motsenbocker mentioned this festival to me last summer. Well, using Spotify I reaquainted myself with current bluegrass music and found I still love it. The newer artists are absolutely awesome in what they are producing. I've finally started producing videos of my trips and I'm using bluegrass music (with permission) as background for my little reports.

So far it'll be Bill, Dan Schneider, and me riding down from Washington State to Telluride where we'll camp and enjoy four days of some of the happiest music on the planet! The trip back is still up for grabs, but my brother Dave will be riding down to meet me after the festival and we will make a tour of Colorado and then make our way back to Spokane after that. For me it will be two weeks of music and riding - maybe not heaven, but pretty darn close!
